Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott is the Dallas Cowboys’ franchise quarterback and, for most modern collectors, the starting point of a current Cowboys collection. A note on the modern market

This is where collectors coming from vintage get tripped up. Dak’s cards are modern, high-print-run issues, not scarce 1970s cardboard. That flips the usual advice: raw base rookies are plentiful and affordable, so buying condition-sensitive vintage-style isn’t the game. Instead, decide which tier you want — an affordable base rookie for the player, a numbered parallel for scarcity, or an autograph for the top of the market — and buy the best example of that tier you can afford.

• Topps era. He is already in 2025 Topps Chrome Football (released 15 April 2026), the first fully NFL-licensed Topps product since 2015: base #79, with Base Etch and Base Image variations and 1975 Topps 1975-10.

Buying tips

• Decide your tier first — base rookie, numbered parallel, or autograph — since base Dak is common and the price gaps between tiers are large.
• For anything at a meaningful price point, strongly prefer graded copies (PSA, SGC, or BGS) so condition is authenticated — grade-10 rookies of even common cards carry a real premium.
